The four most terrifying words a man can hear: “I think I’m pregnant.” Don’t panic. If your partner has recently announced she’s pregnant, we are here for you, too. Learn about the resources that are available to help you help her.

First Things First

Even if your partner took an at-home pregnancy test, there’s still more information she needs about her pregnancy. Your first step is to refer her to Radiance Women’s Center to schedule free and confidential pregnancy testing.

Experts recommend waiting until a day after her missed period to test, and she should test more than once. Our Client Advocates help administer the test so you both can be assured you’re getting accurate results.

If her test is positive, we’ll determine if she qualifies for a free and confidential ultrasound. A limited obstetrical ultrasound determines whether the pregnancy is developing, how far along it is, and the pregnancy’s location—all vital information to protect her health and safety.

She’s Pregnant. Now What?

Once you’ve confirmed her pregnancy, it’s time to consider your options. Ultimately, the decision will be hers, but you have a voice. We can discuss your relationship and how you’d like to proceed.

If she decides she wants to parent, we have classes on the benefits of co-parenting, being a strong and involved father, finding financial security, pursuing a higher education, and more.

Our classes are free. By participating in pregnancy and parenting classes, you earn points to trade for items in our Baby Boutique. It’s the perfect way to help her get started.
